Task 3: The Importance of Communication Skills for Engineers

On my first lesson of Effective Communication, I got to learn the quote:


"While all engineers should have good communication skills, global engineers face additional challenges, making effective communication an imperative." 

Debra Kraft, Careers Content Writer, Demand Media (2016)



Debra Kraft states that while having good communication skills is essential, effective communication skills is now an imperative as global engineers face new challenges. Effective communication skills consist of how to present themselves, how to listen to others, how to make use of their body language, etc. It is important for global engineers, coming from different bakgrounds, to understand and have these skills so work can be carried out effectively, and with more harmony.
