Task 5.2: "Critical Thinking: The Soul of Communication"

Quoting from the excerpt, “If communication is defined as a meaningful exchange of information, thoughts and feeling between two living creatures, critical thinking is the engine that provides this meaning”, we can understand that communication and critical thinking are linked together.  In order to have effective communication, we will need to do some critical thinking. Critical thinking is the one that helps us build our chain of thoughts, therefore without it, we would not be able to process our thoughts, which will result in poor communication, where the thoughts, feelings and information would not be meaningfully or successfully exchanged.

As a leader, I will be the one giving out instructions, communicate with business partners. Thus, I need to learn how to  express myself well so that others can understand me fully and carry out the team project effectively. It is important for me to learn the importance and equip myself with critical thinking skill as misunderstanding often happen when the message is not properly brought out across the room. Thus, in order to prevent unhappiness, misunderstanding, it is very important for me to learn the art of critical thinking as it is the driver of effective communication.
